For the third year in a row, I met up with Nefesh Mountain at the 2018 IBMA World of Bluegrass. They were so kind enough to play a song and talk about their experience at this year’s IBMA.
Nefesh Mountain at Wide Open Bluegrass:
Thank you to Nefesh Mountain!!
I attended the first annual Summer Daze Music Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The musicians and artists included Nance, WONDR, DJ Nevy, Rookie of the Year, Carter Cruise, Lute, Surfer Blood, Shwayze and Cisco Adler.
I interviewed local hip hop artist, Nance.
Unfortunately, due to severe weather, Shwayze and Cisco Adler’s performance was cancelled.
I attended the fall edition of the 2017 Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance. Nestled in the countryside of Chatham County, this festival always has an unique charm year after year.
With over a dozen performers, yoga sessions, various food options, and a 24/7 coffee barn for coffee aficionados, the festival has a lot to offer.
Thank you to everyone at Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance for putting a fun, safe, and entertaining festival.
The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) arrived to Raleigh this week. I was excited to cover my fourth IBMA Business Conference and Bluegrass Ramble.
The two bands I covered this year included Front Country and Nefesh Mountain. Both bands have a distinct bluegrass sound with influences from rock, folk, and indie.
The band stopped by in front of the Sir Walter Statue at the Raleigh Convention Center. All the way from San Francisco, California, Front Country is nominated for an “Emerging Artist” award.
I stopped by the Bluegrass Ramble at Kings to watch Nefesh Mountain’s inspiring set.
Thank you to both bands and the IBMA for making the IBMA World of Bluegrass a fun event every year in Raleigh, North Carolina.
After 2 1/2 years, I returned to the quaint Patterson’s Mill Country Store in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Gail Booker, the owner of Patterson’s Mill Country Store, is an avid follower of EyeOn NorthCarolina. I appreciate her support and Patterson’s Mill Country Store is a fun place to stop by for the entire family!
Mr. Bill Drake, “Wild Bill” gave me a tour of his western town (Shadowhawk) in Smithfield. Five films were made at Shadawhawk. Wild Bill was a Hollywood actor in cowboy movies and TV shows. He acted in Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
I attended the opening night of the 2014 RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem.
